Danny's Farm / About / Staff
Sherri is third generation of Ranchers. She grew up on a farm in Utah where she competed competitively on horseback earning the crown of Rodeo Queen at the age of 15. She learned hard work at an early age milking cows, goats, feeding chickens, and caring for 8-10 horses. She was very active in Future Farmers of America (FFA) and 4-H throughout her Elementary, Middle School and High School years. She has always had a special connection with animals.
She graduated from University of Utah with a Bachelor degree in Sociology. After college she moved to California where she met her husband Dan. She has been happily married to Dan for the past 25 years and together they have raised two beautiful children in La Canada. Following an initial career in the insurance industry, she applied her interior design talents to a 10 year career as a tile design consultant at Mission Tile West. She has always wanted to reconnect with her past and love for horses and more recently purchased her beloved horse, McCoy. She of course had to adopt and rehabilitate her husband’s race horse, King, after he broke his leg and underwent orthopedic surgery. Sherri has always been interested in contributing to the broader community and most recently was given the opportunity to combine her love of horses and working with children and teenagers. She went on to acquire her PATH international Registered Instructor Certificate and has been teaching therapeutic riding at Special Spirit since October 2017. “I am honored to have the opportunity to get to know my clients and focus on their individual needs and talents.”
